We often have an Open House gathering here just before Christmas, with a small exhibition of work by James and myself with our daughter Alice Mary Lynch joining us. We are giving it a miss this year and will be sending out a newsletter with what we have all been doing and what's coming up next year.
I have had a busy year giving talks about my Craft project and running workshops. There was also a wonderful commission for Critchill Special School - and earlier in the year I exhibited paintings in the Jerram Gallery's Wessex Artists show. I am now working on a series of charcoal drawings of starling murmurations and apple pressing for cider.
I have some paintings and drawings for sale and these are now on my website https://www.katelynch.co.uk/availablework Here are two of the pictures: above is a painting of dry stone wallers on the Mendips, and below a charcoal drawing of a starling murmuration.
Our daughter Alice Mary has two new collections of her other-worldly textile animals and hand-made decorations in Fortnum and Mason and Harrods this Christmas. She also has her own range of her hand-painted decorations which are beautifully presented in a gift box and can be purchased directly through her website. There's a 10% discount with the code THANKYOU23. http://www.alicemarylynch.com
Lots more work to come from the Lynch family. Meanwhile, we send seasons greetings and hopes for peace in the world.
